Excuse me sir... The President is on phone.

Today President Obama made a very special phone call to
the University of Kentucky Men's Basketball team.
He called to thank and congratulate them on their success
with Hoops for Haiti, a telethon put together by Coach Cal.
The event raised over $1 million for the Haitian people.

A dinner for 6 guests and Ashley Judd at Coach Cal's house
raked in over $100,000 on EBAY. It is great to see the
basketball team being successful on and off the court. Go Cats!!

As a proud alum and current employee

of the University of Kentucky I couldn't

be more excited! Not only has Coach Matthew

Mitchell catapulted our women's Basketball

team in the top 25 and Coach John Calipari

has taken our men's team to the #2 in the nation

(hopefully #1 by Monday) but our Cheerleaders

won ANOTHER National title! This will make

their 18th championship. They are the only

squad ever to win three, four, five, six, seven and

eight championships in a row. They have won 14 of

the past 16 years. Congrats and Go Cats!!

Christmas Vacation

I just Can't WAIT any longer!!!!

It is finally here... Christmas.

I am heading home today to see my family and Michael will be joining us tomorrow. We are going to spend the day relaxing and eating of course!

On Christmas day we are going to open gifts with Otis and then go over to his parents for presents and lunch.

Then on Christmas Night we are leaving for our cruise. Oh boy Oh boy! The bags are packed and I'm ready to GO!!!

The Perfect Pet

Well as you all know... I have been wanting another pet. (See this Post) I have asked for everything from a cat to a hippo. So this morning I went out and got the Perfect Pet. A Zhu Zhu Pet!

I have been wanting one of these for a month now and I refused to pay $60.00 on EBAY for a motorized Hamster. But I rushed to Toys R Us this morning (at 7 am) and am now the proud new owner of the Hottest Holiday Toy of 2009.

I can't wait to see how Otis reacts to his new buddy- Hopefully he doesn't eat it!

But- It is a great excuse for having a bad hair day.

Going Rogue

Yesterday was my Friday the 13th.

If you follow me on Twitter you already know that I clamped my entire finger in my curling iron and a black cat darted out in front of me on my way into work. But it got worse....

My pearl ring... is loose again!! After dinner I was gently wiping it off with my apron and noticed the pearl was spinning around and around. Thank goodness I discovered this before I actually lost the pearl. So once again I will take it back to the jeweler and get them to fix it. I told Michael last night that I hoped I was using all my bad luck on this ring :o)

Today at lunch I gave in a bought Sarah Palin's new book- Going Rogue.

Do I think she should run for President? NO

Do I think she is fascinating? YES

Even as a devout Republican I know that she is not the right choice for President of the United States, but it will sure be fun watching her try.
